We recently shipped an energy storage order to Moldova. The customer is investing in a power solution for a poultry farm, with one main requirement: all available electricity should be used by the farm, with no power fed back into the grid.
It is a substantial project, but what makes this order interesting is that the customer also purchased several residential energy storage inverters at the same time. So, alongside the commercial project, the order covers home energy storage as well.
Reliable power is essential for the daily operation of a poultry farm. The commercial system consists of four Solis 125kW storage inverters and eight outdoor battery cabinets manufactured by Greatsun.
The configuration is straightforward:
4 × Solis 125kW storage inverters
8 × 241kWh outdoor battery cabinets
1.928 MWh total nominal battery capacity
2 battery cabinets connected to each inverter
Each cabinet provides 241kWh of storage capacity, giving the project a total of 1.928 MWh.
Poultry farms rely on electricity every day. Ventilation, lighting, feeding systems and temperature control all need a dependable power supply.
For this customer, the system is designed for zero export, so electricity is not sent back to the grid. The equipment configuration is intended to help the farm manage its own energy supply according to its operating needs.
Of course, the actual results depend on the farm’s electricity consumption, available energy generation and system settings. These details need to be considered when planning any zero-export project.
Besides the commercial battery storage equipment, the customer also purchased some residential energy storage inverters.
This allows the order to cover both the poultry farm’s commercial requirements and residential energy storage applications.
